At its heart, fantasy is a celebration of the human spirit. The idea of embarking on a heroic quest, battling monsters, and exploring mystical lands is highly appealing and the desire for adventure and exploration is a fundamental part of human nature. So while it may not be possible to live in a fantasy world, nature, hiking, and travel offer a sense of connection with a world that is different from the one we typically inhabit. By challenging ourselves and doing something epic of our own, we can gain a sense of accomplishment and self-discovery that can enhance our self-esteem and confidence.
